SITECH Trimble Compaction Control SystemsThe Trimble CCS900 Compaction Control System helps you accurately control the compaction process, while reducing unnecessary passes that result in over compaction.

The early detection of unsuitable materials and hidden obstructions can be excavated and re-graded or compacted prior to more costly phases of the construction process. Compaction results are recorded and stored for analysis and generation of documentation deliverables at the end of the project.


You can install CCS900 to improve your soil compaction operations on any project where the specification calls for a target density or pass count, including:

The Trimble CCS900 Compaction Control System is the premium system for improving soil compaction operations and rolling a more efficient surface.  It is available in the following configurations:

  • SINGLE GNSS Measures the position and slope of the blade and compares that to design data for rough grading and mass excavation on complex design surfaces
  • DUAL GNSS – Measures the exact position, cross slope and heading of the blade for rough grading and mass excavation on steep slopes and complex design surfaces
  • UNIVERSAL TOTAL STATIONS – Total station based system for extreme accuracy for lift and layer control, material monitoring, or where GNSS is not the ideal solution because of overhead obstructions

The VisionLink 3D Project Monitoring subscription can be used to:

SITECH Trimble GCS Flex On Soil CompactorThe Trimble CCSFlex™ Compaction Control System for Soil Compactors is the ideal solution for temporary installations or rented machines. The CCSFlex “in a case” system provides pass count mapping for soil compactors and is easy-to-use; you can operate without a GPS base station and without 3D design data.


You can install CCSFlex on any smooth drum or pad foot roller from any manufacturer. It can improve your soil compaction operations for:

  • Highway and railway construction
  • Residential pads
  • Commercial site construction
  • Parking lots
  • Sports fields


The CCSFlex system is installed as an aftermarket system, retrofitted onto any soil compactor with open or enclosed cab. As a more cost-conscious entry-level configuration, you can select the low cost “system in a case” solution and add sensors for increased system capabilities as needs change.


  • Sub-meter level horizontal mapping without a base station
  • For compaction jobs where monitoring pass count mapping allows you to run more efficiently, and where pass counts targets need to be met.


  • Optional CM310 Compaction Sensor measures and records the vibratory effort of the soil compactor drum
  • Provides vibratory parameters and generates soil compaction measurements, including frequency and amplitude, Compaction Meter Value (CMV), Resonance Meter Value (RMV) or drum bounce
  • Displays compaction information in real time to the operator on the rugged graphical control box mounted in the cab for immediate indication whether target design density has been achieved


  • Accuracy levels range from standard to high precision, matching your needs and budgets
  • Location RTK with precise horizontal is ideal for applications where the horizontal accuracy needs to be 1-2cm
  • Full RTK is ideal for applications where a vertical GPS-RTK accuracy is required
  • Additional GLONASS satellite tracking is suggested for locations with more limited GNSS satellite reception


  • A mobile printer can be added to print the in-field report of pass counts, CMV and RMV values with location data
